You’ve been around long enough to know what if feels like to feel good and what it feels like to feel not so good. Would you say it is your choice? Good is relative but in this sense I mean the feeling of contentment or peace within. The funny thing is… lets just say you thought the best way for you to have a good and unaffected day was to seclude yourself; Guess what? Your mind could still creep into your solitude and shift your entire mood. Now of course I believe in allowing yourself to have moments of sadness, allowing yourself to feel whatever it is you’re feeling, but I also find it just as important and powerful to realize that you hold the magic wand. Trust me, there have been times in my life when I’ve looked down at my wand and thought, “this thing is broken because I’m waving it and there is no fairy dust and I still feel like S#%T.” Hahahah.
Ultimately when you finally are able to pull yourself out of your head or away from a situation that doesn’t make you feel good remember… you are the one that finally made the decision to do so. Of course there will be friends that come along and shake you out of a mood or new love that comes and sweeps you off of your feet or a win in something that validates you but those types of things can only provide temporary happiness or “feel good.” It is when you dig deep within yourself each day that you can find an internal balance and peace that makes you feel amazing.
An absolute necessity in life.
Happiness is your main ingredient. It need be your starting point, your anchor, your foundation, your base, your pillar… YOUR EVERYTHING. The most amazing part… you choose. You have complete control over how you feel. Again I am not implying that there is no such thing as chemical imbalance, physical illness or grief of loss. I am simply saying ultimately you have the choice in each moment of your day to day life.
Abraham Hicks said it beautifully; “ Find thoughts that feel good, because it is inevitable that you are going to always be moving toward something. So why not be moving toward something that is pleasing? You can’t cease to vibrate, and Law of Attraction will not stop responding to the vibration that you are offering. So, expansion is inevitable. You provide it, whether you know you do, or not. The only question is, what is the standard of joy that you are demanding for yourself? From your Nonphysical perspective, it’s a high, high standard.” I find that doing the things that make me feel good and happy keep my vibrations lifting higher and higher. Even when there is nothing in particular to celebrate, I look for reasons to be grateful and joyful.
It’s on you.
I’ll never forget how liberating it was to tell someone that I didn’t depend on them for my happiness. It has changed the structure of every single relationship in my life including the one between me, myself and I. Looking to someone else to do what you want or need them to do based on your expectations can set you and them up for unhappiness. Choose happiness no matter what people are doing around you. It will make you feel great, perhaps influence them to feel better and improve the balance, peace and mood of the space in which you reside with others.
As you move through your day to day life remember that the magic is in your hands. You choose how you respond to people and situations, you choose to nourish your body which leads to feeling amazing, you choose give pause to honor stillness, you choose to laugh things off that may have made you angry in the past… YOU CHOOSE YOUR HAPPY. YOU CHOOSE YOUR FEEL GOOD.
